Is it professional to put my cell phone on a belt clip case go wear it at work?

Is it considered professional at all? or is it considered unprofessional? Or is it neutral? I'm an intern for I'm cautious on what I wear or do around work.Is it professional to put my cell phone on a belt clip case go wear it at work?
Generally, it's neutral. Most of us in the business world have cell phones (and many use them for business purposes).

How you handle phone calls is where you'd be judged as professional or otherwise. A couple of important things to remember:

* Always take a call from your boss.

* Make sure the ring-tone volume is reasonably low or set to vibrate (nobody but you needs or wants to hear it ring).

* Be prepared to ignore personal calls until you have a break.

* If you need to take a call, do it discretely.

* Unless you're waiting for critical instructions on how to get your job done, don't use it at all during a meeting. Is it professional to put my cell phone on a belt clip case go wear it at work?
I personally think it might be unprofessional if you were meeting someone with high rank and going for an interview or something. If that were the case, it would be considered that much more polite if you didn't have your cellphone in sight at all and turned off, if not, on vibrate. It's like a distraction and if your phone rang and you answered it in the middle of a conversation, the person you're meeting with might get offended (if it's with someone of higher rank).

If you're not in a professional meeting, meeting your work senior for something, or going for an interview, then I don't see what the problem is with having your cellphone on a belt clip.
