If you disconnect your home phone number, can you still dial 911 and the operator in case of an emergency?

I've never not had a home phone line, but i am sick of paying this bill and my cell phone bill. Will it still work if I need to dial 911?If you disconnect your home phone number, can you still dial 911 and the operator in case of an emergency?
NO! The 911 access will not work on a disconnected land phone. There is no law requiring it, unlike a cell phone. If you disconnect your home phone number, can you still dial 911 and the operator in case of an emergency?
If you disconnect your home phone, and have NO DIAL TONE, you cannot dial 911 or Operator.!!!!!! Cell phones will, however have that capability, even if disconnected....
No, if you diconnect your home phone, you will not have 911 service.
Yes of course, how else could you reach someone in an emergency?
